Make up tips for the wing-eye look
Make up tips for the wing-eye look
Try Natasha Poonawalla's 'exaggerated wing tips' eye make up with help from expert Clint Fernandes.
The USP of Natasha Poonawala's look is her eyes, which are stylishly done with strong wing tips.
Eyes
With a liquid liner, start from the inner corners of the eyes, moving the brush outwards and upwards to get a wing tip. She has created a line on the bottom lid too, which starts midway and moves outwards so as to connect with the upper line. If the outer point is short or uneven, try using a cotton bud to correct the mistakes.
Here's what I suggest for novices: short strokes work better. Also, try using a pencil instead of a liquid liner as it will be steadier for those unfamiliar with winged eyes. If you use a liquid liner, let the lids dry before you open them or else it will smudge. Finish with a double coat of mascara.
Face
Natasha has used minimal foundation. Just like her, it is important to have flawless skin. For those with spots or pigmentation, use a concealer to cover up problem areas and blend it out evenly. If like her, your skin texture is creamy and moist, use a light setting powder.
Those with lots of lines and creases should keep the skin tone matte. For the blush, use a cream blush only on the apples of your cheeks. This provides a nice, rosy glow to the skin. If you are using a powder blush, smile while applying the blush (only on the apples of your cheeks), then going upwards towards the temple area.
Lips
Natasha has used a light pink flesh tone lip colour. It is creamy and not too glossy.
