This is fine dining, from start to finish. Don't go by the nondescript building, which houses Salz on the 4th and 5th floors. Inside, it's a different story.

Decor: HHHH½
The restaurant on the fourth floor has glass windows on all sides, providing stunning views of KBR Park and Lotus Pond. We absolutely loved the bright and well-lit interiors, with its wooden, steel and leather furniture. There is also some lounge seating, with colorfully upholstered sofas. On the fifth floor is an open-air terrace, with an independent bar, mostly operational in the evenings.

Food: HHHH½
The menu has a sizable section of snacks, tacos, nachos, jalapeno poppers, crumb fried chicken wings, grilled chicken BBQ skewers, pizzas, fried calamari etc. We tried the Pesto Infused Grilled Fish, which was perfecto — crisply done with the pesto liberally dusted with chilli flakes.
The soups are wholesome and robust, especially the Mushroom Soup (with Truffle Oil) and the Chicken Chowder. There are a couple of bisques too, the seafood and White Asparagus kinds.
In main courses, there is a host of pastas, (ravioli, cannelloni, lasagna), risottos, grills and bakes. I tried the penne with broccoli, and truth be told, made liberal use of the salt, oregano and chilli flakes shakers and the black pepper mill, to adjust the bland pasta to my spicier Indian palate. The grilled chicken, served with mashed potato and grilled vegetables, which my friend ordered, was well-done, especially, the mushroom sauce with which it was topped.
The desserts menu is somewhat limited, but try the panacotta, it's light and cool, though I would have preferred a more generous dollop of blueberry compote as topping.
Plus & minus
It's a pricey place; soups, appetisers and salads range between `200 and ` 400, while main courses begin from `360 and go up to `720, exclusive of taxes.
But, what the heck, the dining experience sums up to a luxe feel, so it's worth it!
