Lamborghini India launches Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster
Lamborghini India, the Indian arm of the
German carmaker Volkswagen Group owned Automobili Lamborghini has
launched the open-top luxury sports car Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster in
the Indian car market at a price of Rs 4.77 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new roadster by Lamborghini is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3 seconds and boasts of a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
The new sports car model will be available from mid 2013 through the Lamborghini dealers in India. According to Andrea Baldi Sales Manager South East Asia and Pacific Automobili Lamborghini, the India car market currently contributes to less than 1 percent of the luxury sports car maker’s global sales. In the year 2012, the carmaker sold 17 cars in India out its global sales of 2,083 cars.
With the launch of the new sports car model, the automaker expects to enhance its presence in the emerging super-luxury sports category in India.
