HCL Tech inks multi-million dollar deal with U.S. firm
Software services major HCL Technologies, on Friday, said it had signed a
five-year multi- million dollar deal with U.S.-based Manitowoc Company
for becoming its global engineering partner for crane operations.
HCL will be Manitowoc’s global engineering partner for the crane
operations spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia/Pacific regions, a
statement said.
Capital goods manufacturer Manitowoc and HCL would also set up a global
engineering centre in Pune to support Manitowoc’s design centres, and
accelerate its new product development initiatives in emerging regions
such as India, China, and Brazil, it added.
Through the design centre, HCL offers a complete spectrum of engineering
services to Manitowoc Cranes to produce blueprints for new and
innovative crane models.
