New E-Class line-up showcased at Detroit

One of the biggest events at the Detroit Show had to be that of Mercedes-Benz. Currently the oldest car maker in the world is losing its number 1 position to BMW and Audi, and so they have been coming out with a slew of new product launches and re-launches and re-designs of their older vehicles to keep up with the competition. The North American International Auto Show in Detroit was the world debut of the 2014 E-Class family that Mercedes-Benz has extensively updated. Sedan, wagon, cabriolet and coupe showcased new efficient engines, new assistance systems and a new design idiom. A broad range of powerful gasoline and diesel engines with four, six or eight cylinders is available for customers of the E-Class family to choose from. For the gasoline engines the power output ranges from a 190 hp diesel to the high performance 577 hp gasoline engine. The hood and front bumper have also been completely redesigned. With its flowing lines, the hood offers a smooth, sleek expression of the new design language. The bumper has new, contemporary styling with an aerofoil shape along its lower edge for an even more distinctively sporting character.

The AMG wing of Mercedes has also built the most powerful E63 AMG. All cars in the new E- Class will also receive new interiors and slight exterior changes as well as innovative technology features and safety features. The new E-Class will be available in the coming months and we expect Indian launch sometime in the middle of 2013.
