Honda India to launch Brio VX in April 2013

Honda Cars India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker Honda is planning to launch a new variant of the Brio hatchback, namely the Brio VX in India. The new variant of the hatchback is set for a launch in the month of April 2013.

The new top level Brio VX variant will feature a rear demister to make up for the lack of a rear wiper. Also an addition to the hatchback in the new variant will be the driver seat height adjustment. With the upcoming variant launch, the Japanese carmaker expects to boost sales in the Indian car market.

Honda India has earlier in October 2012 launch an automatic variant of the hatchback which it claims to be suitable for city driving, especially for the heavy traffic conditions on the Indian roads.

The automaker is also planning to introduce the Amaze sedan based on the Brio platform in the Indian car market in 2013. The Amaze will be Honda’s first diesel car in India aimed to capture volume sales in light of the higher demand being witnessed for diesel cars in the Indian car market.
