Yoga expert Shameem Akthar suggest yoga asanas you can do while working at your desk. She emphasises that apart from exercises, stretching too can help you tone up different parts of your body and give you a glowing complexion. Try these stretching exercises and get a toned body and experience different health benefits.

Samkonasana (right angle pose)

Stand up straight, keeping a chair in front at arm's length distance. Inhale, exhaling reach arms forward to place hands on chair back. Push hips back to intensify stretch along the back of the legs. Hold arms firmly on chair back, breathing normally. Look ahead, over the arms. Repeat a few times, or extend the duration in the final pose.

Benefits: It tones your legs, thighs, hips and arms. Prevents upper back tension and pain.

Samkonasana (right angle pose, version)

Do as above. But drop head down between arms to look at the floor.

Benefits: Same as above. Improves circulation to the face, making it glow.
